How much does a service cost?

 

We prefer to see the item first, especially for formal wear, to make sure we give you the most accurate pricing. You can bring your clothing in for a free estimate. 

 

What forms of payment do you accept?

 

We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express. We also accept Cash and Checks.

 

 Can I bring my items and just come in?

 

Yes! Walk-ins are always welcome. If you are unable to stop by during regular business hours, give us a call and we will find a time that works best with you.

 

How long will it take?

 

Most standard items are completed within a few days. Please specify if you need your clothing by a certain date. Drop off and pick up are between 10 AM and 6 PM Monday to Saturday.  Appointments are also available outside of these hours.

 

How will I know when my item(s) are finished?

 

When you come in, we will agree on a suitable pick up date. You will receive a text or phone call when your item(s) are ready.

Is rush service available?

 

Yes. The sooner you get your item to us, the quicker we can get it back to you!

 

Do I need to bring my ticket in?

 

If you have your ticket, please bring it with you when coming to pick up so we can easily and quickly get your item(s) to you.

 

What do I do if I don’t have my ticket?

 

That's okay! Just let us know when you come to pick up and we will assist you in getting your item(s).

 

Do you offer dry cleaning?

 

Unfortunately we do not. While we have an iron that steams, we cannot steam clothing as dry cleaner would. However, we would be happy to make a referral for you.

 

 What is involved in altering a formal dress for a wedding or a prom?

 

You are in good hands with EZ Alterations. This year we fitted 60 prom dresses. Here are some guidelines.

 

• While walk-ins are welcome, it is best to make an appointment. Ideally we would like to have customers come in with the dress about a month before the event. In some cases, more than one fitting is needed.

 

•  Along with your dress, please bring the shoes and undergarments that go with the outfit.

 

•  Our seamstress will then consult with you and listen to any requests or specifications you have. If you are unsure of exactly what you would like done, we can also help make some suggestions.

 

If I bring in something new and haven't worn or washed it yet, how will this affect the alterations process?

 

Since things sometimes can shrink after washing, we can take a look at the material and make judgement on how to alter it so that it will still fit the way you would like after washing.

 

If I have a zipper that is broken or needs a repair, can you fix my item?

 

We do offer zipper repairs. We have some zippers in stock. In some cases, we may need to special order. Feel free to bring your item in for a free estimate.

 

If a hem is taken out on a pair of pants, will there be a line on the pant leg?

 

This is a common concern. Most likely yes. Keep in mind that removing the line completely may not be possible.

 

 Do you work on things like curtains?

 

Yes we do. Besides clothing, we do customization and repair on items like curtains, pillows, canvas, accessories, uniforms, luggage, and bags.
